Reviews
Nice example of a working farm. Too bad the working sites (bakery, black smith, etc) weren’t in operation
We loved this place. It had a nice setting for kids and parents. Their food and coffee taste good. The personnel are also very kind and nice. I do recommend it for families with small children.
So much fun
Ok
You have to have been here. An experience for children and adults. You feel like you've been transported back years. Antique agricultural implements that are still in use, Hildegard von Bingen's garden, straw barn for children to run around in, free tractor tour, competent staff who are happy to answer many questions and much more.
Here you are transported to earlier times of agriculture. Everything is beautifully labeled, every device and tree. You can go for a ride on a tractor. Definitely visit.
I can recommend the Museumshof Lensahn. Admission is fairly inexpensive and not overcrowded even in the high season. There is a lot to discover about agriculture for young and old. Numerous tractors (which children can climb on), agricultural equipment and rooms are on display. There is also the free tractor tour (donations are voluntary), a straw play area, a longer hiking trail (of course not a must) and other attractions. The restaurant offers good home-style food. Our junior didn't want to leave anymore :)
I think the entrance fee of €6 is a bit much.
But otherwise it is very nice there. So much choice of apple pies and tarts. And then the smell of freshly baked bread. Lots of stalls selling home-knitted items.
